  1. Currently I have Specialized Armadillo tyres on my bike and I think they are great. Unfortunately I
can't get another pair (size 700x28) from my local bike shop. Does anyone know of an on-line
stockist of these tyres or some equally as good?

Any Vredestein tyres labelled as PRS are good. Not Kevlar, but they're supposed to be more pucture
    resistant than Kevlar!

A good bunch🙂 They sometimes have an offer on for a pair of tyres + tubes. Nice prices.

BTW, what sorta mileage have you had from yours? I've had mine for just under a 1000 miles
without any problems - this includes riding over at least 20 piles of broken bottle and some
rather nasty steel scrap spillage (small slivers & bent up pieces up to 50mm x 10mm) on the
    industrial estate I work on.

I was told that they'd have worse rolling resistance but either I have better musculature than I
thought or they're pretty good, as I usually travel between 17 & 22 mph to and from work without
working up a sweat. (1.5miles each way, Suffolk quality roads - ie [censored])

I am, however, starting to get some wear on the front wheel right side, cause unknown. Might be a
dose of the known problem of tyre disintegration that one or two Users have warned of. I'm not
unhappy though. By this distance, I've normally had at least 6 or 7 punctures and got at least one
bald spot on each tyre. So far, so good.

  5. I'd second that, with my previous set of semi-slicks I was getting regular punctures (mostly thorns)
but since switching to Vredestien Scarabs (PRS) I've had not at all in over 2000miles of riding the
    same sort of terrain.

    Regards, Paul
