I generally carried a Specialised Air Force 2 mini-pump when riding the 26" bike (came free with some order at Edinburgh cycles I seem to remember) because it's small enough for a pocket/shoulder bag.
And for the 700 wheeled bike I take a Topeak Morph, which will make the big pressure I need - but it's a bore taking it off the frame mount in thieving London.
