I jut got back on the bike, figures :p and have ridden ~15, 19, 30, 40 miles the last two weeks with 1 to 1.5 mile hills and last ride my calves really cramped up. NO biggie-stretched them out on the ride home and that was that. Yesterday I felt some pain in my right calf and treated it gingerly, but kept trying ot stretch it out just a bit as I walked around. This morning I have a pain that starts in the upper middle of my right calf that leads in a thin line and ends right behind my knee.
Does this sund like a common injury and can I safely ride through it?
If not I guess I am going to the gym with my wife to do some upper body stuff
Well-I put a 2.5 hour ride with all the rollers and one long climb and though ti didnt hurt on the ride at all (though I could "feel" it), I iced it as soon as I got home and it hurts more than before the ride.
Thanks to Al for the EM, any other ideas as well will be welcome.
