This Prostate Cancer Treatment may be used in concert with other therapies.
So far, John Lee M.D. has had about 10 out of 10 men in remission from
prostate cancer. I have had 1 out of 1 man in remission from prostate
cancer. My patient had a PSA of 16 and a particularly aggressive form of
prostate cancer. After 6 months of progesterone therapy, his PSA dropped to
0.6. A follow up PSA several months later showed a PSA of 0.1. In addition
to the progesterone I was giving him, he was also taking a subcutaneous
hormone therapy from another physician. Dr. John Lee, has had one patient
doing well on progesterone therapy for 10 years.
Theory
The prostate is embryologically the same as the uterus in the female. In
other words, the uterus in the female corresponds to the male prostate.
Therefore, everything that we know about the uterus in the female we can
easily apply to the male prostate. What do we know about the female uterus?
Endometrial cancer is caused by too much estrogen. This can be found in any
2nd year medical school text. Medical doctors give a progestin with the
estrogen to slough off the lining of the uterus to prevent endometrial
cancer. If we look at the menstrual cycle of the women, the first part of
the cycle is dominated by estrogen. The estrogen causes the inside lining of
the uterus, the endometrium, to proliferate. The second half of the
menstrual cycle is dominated by progesterone. Progesterone causes the
endometrium to differentiate (tells the cells to mature instead of
proliferate). Cells do not proliferate, they stop reproducing when
progesterone is given to patients.
We hypothesize that the cause of prostate cancer is estrogen stimulation,
not testosterone.
Young men have high levels of testosterone and old men low levels. If
testosterone were the cause of prostate cancer, young men would be dying of
prostate cancer. Obviously this is not true. Tufts University Medical School
researcher, Shuk Mei Ho, has found that chronic low doses of estrogen can
induce prostate cancer in rats[1].
We will conduct this study and therapy on the hypothesis that Xenoestrogens
or "foreign estrogens" cause prostate cancer.
