Probikekit has plenty of the Prorace gear on sale. Is this their own brand? Has anyone used the jerseys (or other gear for that matter)? With their new $18 to Australia deal they are really good value. They say a "wicking material" rather than give it some fancy marketing name. Is it a case of get what you pay for?

Prorace stuff is great value in my experience. Not ultra-top-shelf, but almost as good, at 1/5 the price 😄

I purchased some Prorace bib n brace on eBay. I got them, tried them on and put them straight back up on eBay. Reason... very poor quality lycra, poor anatomical design, not sure how many panels, but just felt wrong whereas other brands I have worn (Biemme, Santini) almost feel nude. These were not very comfortable. -
I purchased a prorace handlebar and stem. White carbon fiber type. They look great. However the handlebars have discoloured around where the stem clamps onto the bar. The discolouration (if that is a word) extends around 5 cm from the clamp of the stem toward the shifters. The bars have only been in use for 2 weeks.
Not sure if it is normal for white carbon fiber to do this or if there is some inherit defect with the prorace product. But I wouldn't purchase Prorace again for this alone. The Bars have also flaked. It seems to me to be resin that has flaked off of them where the stem clamps the handlebars.
Stick with a manufacturer with a proven track record is my suggestion.

I actually purchased some gear last week from Probikekit. Ordered on Tuesday got it the following Monday.
Winter Long Sleeve Jersey Adidas -Excellent $61.
Prorace Short Sleeve with print - Looked very similar in quality and fabric to local UNO brand - only $41 (to commute it will be fine)
Prorace Sunnies - $20 (4 lenses) I am sure they aren't the greatest optics but then I don't have to worry if they get damaged.To be honest I would still rather buy from the LBS. But the Winter Jersey was a good buy and I used the other Prorace items to make the freight worthwhile.
I'm not a racer so these will be fine for me!
