So I was out for an evening spin after work. About 20 miles in and a scant 2 blocks from the LBS I drop my chain. No big deal, right? Wrong. For what ever reason, I can't shift back to the big ring. Hummm. After much fiddling with the shifter and front derailer, I give up. I'll just ride by the shop and drop it off, it could use a tune anyway. I look at my watch. Damn, they closed 35 mins ago. So I give up and call home (I was only a couple of miles). Since my wife knows where the shop is, I said I'd just ride over and meet here there. As I was almost there I see the owner pulling out of the parking lot. I flag him down and ask if anybody is there. He told me to ride around back and knock on the back door. One of the tech's opens up and after a quick once over tells me I need a couple of new cables and a new cable housing. He had it up and going before my wife got there (I live 4 miles from the shop.) While I was waiting another guy came in with a flat and as I was leaving, he was fixing the dudes flat.
Way to go. They'll be some goodies involved when I go to pick my bike up.
Just in case anybody cares, the shop is Canyon Cycles in Draper Ut, USA.

Boy, you were a pain in the butt that day weren't you ? 😄
Sounds like you have access to a great LBS. It's the little service details that keep us coming back. Good job Canyon Cycles.
