The only surprising thing is that they have been reporting on it in
the mainstream media. It is nothing new. It has been known for
decades that refined carbs are linked with canser. I think it is only
because of the low-carb phenomenon.

"The Institute of Medicine recommends that carbohydrates constitute 45
percent to 65 percent of calories, and that no more than 20 percent
should come from added sugars, said Schlicker, who served on the panel
that drafted the advice. New dietary guidelines are to be released
next year."
That statement is so sickening and disturbing. That ANYONE can
recommend up to 20% callories from SUGAR and call themselves a health
professional is apauling!! I do not think that even any of the
missguided posters here would be foolish enough to consider that
healthy, yet im sure they will not even atempt to look deeper into it
and consider the reasons for it. That is beyond their capability it
seems. This is corruption at its worst and will continue to ensure
countless pointless deaths in the future. Children are the ones who
suffer most from this evil and greed.
"This study alone isn't enough for people to make changes in their
diet, but it's a cautionary sign," Willett said.
Yet another absurd contradictory statement. Any fool can see the
strings and the puppet masters at work behind the sceens with that
one. The only time it is ever "appropriate" to make changes in the
diet is when it will directly benefit the profits of the food
industry. That is clear.
