Ive been having an ickle problem with my left hand break lever.
I think there must be a problem with springs or somthing within the lever.
When you pull the lever to break, the front break wire doesnt get ingaged straightaway.. there is at least 4cm of slack travel before it begins to pull on the wire.
This is only a problem because it means when cycling on anything other than polished marble, the break lever will rattle around, which is very annoying.
Here are some pics below to give a clear understanding of the problem.
Here is how the lever looks when its in its normal postion, You will notice i Have i used the adjustment to try and tightern the lever but its not helped.

Ive now Pulled the lever.. but the amount of travel you can see is all slack nothing is happening to the actual breakpads or wire. If i increase the tension in the wire anymore the pads will just rub against the wheel continualy.
