  1. hey all. i picked up a air pump with a dual head thing on it today. and it comes with a shrade valve and a presta valve head.. how do i put air into the presta valve?. i cant seem to get it right? any advice on how to do it? thanks a bunch.

  2. Take the valve cap off the presta valve, and unscrew the little metal head of the valve a little (not as far as it will go - leave about a millimetre of the valve threaded bit sticking out above the metal head). Push the valve in briefly, so that a little hiss of air escapes. Stick the presta head of the pump over the valve, as far as it will go, lock it in place with the lever on the pump, and pump away. When you're finished, take the pump off, tighten up the metal valve head, and stick the valve cap back on.

  3. make sure your pump can make it to the required psi. Alot of the like walmart brand ones will only take it to around 90 and after that, it will either not go any farther, or it'll explode....pretty neat.

  4. What stone says is right, but remember that 90 psi is easily enough to get home on. Personally my arm gets tired at around 80 🙂

  5. I'm on my 3rp pump. I run sewups that hold 170 lbs, and many pumps blow right off the valve well before that.
