Hi, I just got the Pro and have a few questions. I want to be able to track just the ride time and not the total time. It is giving a and average speed based on the total time and not the "ride time". How can I track just the "ride time" so can get my true average speed?
1. download all your current data to your pc/mac 2. press both buttons and hold them, waiting for the screen to say "find", then when it says "clear" release the two buttons. this will reset your powertap computer head. date/time, wheel circumference and odometer are not reset.
3. if you don't download any data, then you either have to "clear" it every time or use it in "interval" mode for the duration of the ride. hold down the "mode" button until the INT display shows. There are 9 intervals. You could potentially make each ride an "interval" that way. intervals are switched between by momentarily pressing both buttons simultaneously.

In the CPU: In the Computer Setup (see manual), set the "zeros included in average" to 'no' for Power, Speed and/or Cadence. I use 'no' for Speed and Cadence and 'yes' for Power.
This does not affect what is downloaded; only the numbers on the display.
