I have a Power Tap which I use regularly but there are times when I don't want to use the hub/wheel and I use another wheelset. I need a second computer mounted on the bike, and I'm looking for suggestions, eg. Polar, Flight Deck etc. What computer combinations do others use if they have a PowerTap?

You don't need another computer - just put the PT into "cycle computer mode" (pg22 of the user manual for instructions) and put a magnet on your rear wheel. You need to rotate the receiver on your seat stay inwards so that the edge is as close to the magnet as you can get it (easy assuming you zip-tied it to the stay) and the PT functions as a computer, giving you everything except power (since you're not using the PT hub). And you can still download all the data. Then when you want to use your PT hub, just reset the cpu to "power mode" and rotate the receiver back so that its parallel to the PT hub. Ingenious gadget, that PT!

For those reading along... the Polar coded speed transmitter interferes with the PT's HR receiver. So far my Vetta 100A (wireless cadence/speed) co-exists happliy with the PT SL.
