  1. Hi,

I'm having problems with the display on my wired Powertap Pro CPU fading and coming back intermittently. I've fitted new batteries but no success. The display is fine when the CPU is not in the cradle, but if I push on the either pair of the pick up pins on the rear of the unit I can get the display to fad so it seems like an iternal connection problem.
It also periodically resets to the default start date, again indicating internal connection issues.

Has anyone had similar issues and is there a fix?
Is there anyone in the UK who can service/fix a CPU.
Aternatively is there a way to get inside the unit to check for loose connections - its a fairly old unit but I don't want to wreck it?

Finally - if I do have to replace it who's doing the best deals on CPU's.

    David

  2. Weird. I see lots of display fading, but only in winter when it's cold out. Sounds like maybe a short of some kind?
