I have just got a PT2.4 and now I wonder if it can be build with 3X drive side and radial non drive side. I know that the owners manual says 3x drive- and non drive side. If I build radial non drive side what will happen then? Is it only the accuracy that will be affected - but how much? I'm the only one racing this wheel so if the accuracy is affected I don't think it will do that much since the "error" will be the same all the time - right?
Have any of you ever seen or heard about a PT radial build wheel? Any pictures?
I don't think it will affect accuracy, but it might void your warranty. Given the fact that many PT's eventually get sent in for some warranty issue, I'd check with Saris first before going 3x/radial.

I believe that the force goes through the sensing mechanism inside the hub and is applied to the left flange. In other words, the left side is the "drive side".
Why would you possibly want to lace it radial when the manual says 3x both sides? You're willing to spend a grand on a power meter and not connect it correctly?
The manual says at least 2x both sides. Some wheelbuilders think a 3x/radial build makes for a better wheel. The 'best' build also depends on the # of spoke holes.
