  1. Power Tap users:

I just got the system and am only now learning the flakey electrical engineering issues with the data collection function of the thing. I a thread or two regarding that one must clear-all both the interval and the non-interval modes or the next ride's data won't download.

But i have also discovered that interval number 1 is a default bucket into which all ride data is saved unless intervals 2 or greater are recording. I conductend several test to try revealing some consistency but nothing for sure. Once I recorded 2 intervals and in fact 5 intervals downloaded from previous rides. The upshot is, as far as i can see, interval 1 can have unpredictable results. 🙁

On thing that we have found as well in the development of CyclingPeaks Software is that if you end your ride when the Power tap is actively recording an interval, it can cause the powertap to not download.

In the download the Powertap will stop at 256 records.
We have fixed this in our software, so that this won't happen to anyone that has CyclingPeaks
