  1. I've got a set of Profile Century aero bars. They are too
short. I'm all cramped up when down in the drops.

If I could straighten out the up-bend in the bars, though,
that'd give me a couple inches to reach forward farther.

But will the bars bend? Or will they crack and break?

Yes, the bars may bend, but they may also break later while
you are riding. ALuminim bars don't take reshaping well, and
    they are a safety-critical part.

Think about that, and then buy a new bar and/or stem to get
    a good fit.
