The white plastic steps going into our vinyl liner inground pool are
turning yellow suddenly and I cannot seem to clean it off. Any
suggestion?

may be sun exposure or you are overdoing the chemicals.
If the steps out of the water are yellowing it is a common problem with
some plastics and sunlight. -
only doing it under water and I think it is from gallon of algaecide
but that wa sin the normal application rate. -
I used an old bottle of Vitamin C and it took it off like magic! Just
kept rubbing the pills on it as they dissolved. It was took late to try
and find ascorbic acid at a pool store. They look new now. Who would
have thought?
