  1. It was my original intention to purchase a Polar 720 but have discovered that the new 725 has just been released.

    The big touted feature was the compatability with the Nokia 5140. Also noticed the shell is different.

    These new features don't have me soiling my pants in excitement, but that said the 725 won't work out too much more expensive.

    It seemed to me if the HR transmitter strap looked a bit more of a comfortable design on the 725 but am not sure.

    Are there any other differences between the two units?

    p.s. I realise that this question was raised in another thread but that thread went OT.

  2. I have owned a S720i now for about 6 months and have found it to be really usefull. the fact that i can look back at the ride and compare the height, temp, Hb and speed are a good way of seeing improvments.

    as for the extra features offered by the 725, i cant for the life of me see why i would want to check the results on my phone.

    Yes the chest band is an updated version, but the one i have it quite comfortable.

    Now there is a newer model you can pick up a cheaper 720 rather then a 725
