Just looking at maybe getting a HRM as a bit of an indulgence, but from what I can tell theres no odometer? Had a look at the Polar website, it looks like theres just trip distance.

essendon93I've got a S720i and my wife has a S625x and both have Total Kms (Odometer).
I imagine the S510, S520, S710 and S725 are all the same in this respect. I
don't use the trip function out on the road as I also run a Cateye Astrale
which I use for instantaneous distance, cadence and or speed. The 720i main
display is usually set on Heartrate and the secondary display on the time.
Although I can display cadence on the HRM I don't because it is not an
instantaneous value. (Seems to be the average of about 4 rotations of the
crank)Don't think of it as an indulgence, think of it as motivation.
