Unfortunately I was very clumsy earlier this week and dropped my computer into a bath tub full of water as I was taking off my cycling clothes. Just one of those stupid things that happens. Anyhow, I retreived the device immediately from the water and fortunately the computer still works 99% perfectly.
HOWEVER there is one flaw which is concerning me - the sound 'beeps' emitted by the computer are definitely much weaker. They haven't disappeared but are certainly a lot harder to hear. This means that I can no longer send data to the website as the transmissions are sonic ones. It also means I can no longer hear when I'm going out of my training zones on the road.
I'm hoping that somebody with a background or interest in electronics can help me out here. Is there any way that I can remedy this fault myself or does it have to go back to Polar? I really get a lot out of using the website so I'm gutted about this.

I'd email Polar and just tell them that it got "pretty wet" and see what they say. Their customer service seems to be pretty good. See what they say. Let it dry out too, like said above. Just leave a fan blow on the back side of it overnight or something.
