  1. Has anyone worn their Polar all day long to see how accurate the calorie expenditure actually is?
Did anyone find it was very accurate in estimating how many calories your body has expended during
the day? Ever worn it at night as well?

I've never worn mine all day. I'm not sure how that would tell whether or not it was an
accurate calorie counter or not. You would have to know how many calories you burnt all day.
I find a comparison of a workout and calories to be more accurate. One has a fairly good
idea of how many calories oen burns during an activity. I've found my Polar to be WAYYYYYYY
of with numbers like burning 50-60 calories per mile on a run or less. I have worn mine all
night on several occasions. Although highly unscientific and probably just coincidental, I
found that if I my heart rate fell through out the night vs staying fairly consistant or
very slightly falling I was better recovered from teh previous workout. I tried doing this
as a "Blind" study as I would record the data for the night and before I looked at teh data
did a workout teh following day. In almost every case I recorded that better workouts
followed days were the heart rate fell throughout the night. Of course as stated before this
is highly unscientific, but interesting none teh less.

What would you compare it to to decide if it's accurate or not?
