"Police turn to pedal power"

"Police officers have been using pedal power to crack down on youngsters who
have been causing nuisance on mini-motorbikes and trials bikes in city
parks."

"As a result police launched a clampdown on riders in the area headed by PC
Stuart Francis, who has been using his bike to enable him to get to areas
police cars could not."

""Our high visibility patrols have reaped reward because in the first
fortnight of the campaign we took just three calls of complaint compared
with the 18 calls in the previous fortnight," said PC Francis, who advised
youngsters not to go on the parks with their bikes."

Good. These little bastards are a right pain.

Piano-wire is another good way of dealing with them, but you risk
getting cyclists instead.

On a more serious note, what are their parents thinking of,buying mini
motorbikes or quads when they live in urban areas with no legal
off-road facilities ?
Its a classic example of 'couldn't give a sh*t' parenting.where the
parents just buy their brats anything they want just so they don't
have to spend any time with their 'darling offspring'.

Why do they have kids, unless its their petty revenge against society.
The whole 'hoodie' phenomenon seems to be born of parental apathy
towards their young.Even rats give a sh*t about their brood.

A police officer costs £50,000 per annum. A team of six £300,000.
Four months policing with a team is £100,000 and all they can manage
is £11,000. It doesn't sound like value for money to me!!! :-o

Sounds like they have been watching too many films, a common problem
with the police now.

I will always explain revoked keys, unless the UK government
prevents me by using the RIP Act 2000.

Depends on if you factor in the effects that the drugs trade has on society
as a whole (thefts, ****ed up lives, subsidising other organised crime
etc.)

Then again, they might recoup more of their costs if they took that 11K
worth of drugs, sold it on, nicked the buyers, sold it on, nicked the
buyers (repeat ad infinitum) :-D

The police being, of course, completely unable to walk.

If that was all they did then it wouldn't be good value. How much would
it cost to clear up the effects of that 11K of drugs on the street?
(about 5,000 doses).
