  1. There are a lot of informed opinions posted on a variety of subjects,
I'd like to beg for a couple minutes of time and opinions.

I recently had AM fasting blood creatinine tests come center normal,
and morning(not-first [censored]) urine levels a hair above normal.

A few days later I did the 24-hour method, and the result was about
TWICE above the high range for a 49 year old male. Note I'm type-2
diabetic, well controlled with diet, exercise, and about 1500 mg
    metformin a day.

FWIW: 145 lbs and intentionally losing weight(fat) while vigorous
weight training(to preserve muscle). The 24 hour collection began the
morning of a high-effort day on the weight machines at the gym, and
about a 45 minute session on an elliptical cross trainer.

I also eat about 50% of my kkals from protein, the remainder is mostly
dense carbs and a little fats/oils

I did first-[censored] into collection both mornings, probably this was
    wrong. More information at

    http://www.transweb.org/qa/qa_txp/faq_creat.html

The doc said I should repeat the test, with a normal diet and lay off
the self-abusive exercise for a week.

    Thanks,
    Rich
