  1. Nice to report a pleasant experience yesterday which highlights what
    leisure riding is all about.
Wifey and I labouring back from Carrum-Hallam on the Dande Creek path
with our tandem and newly acquired cargo trailer when a not too young
lady ranged alongside with a pleasant greeting.
She paced alongside and slotted in where she could chat with both of
us and maintained station seamlessly for some kilometres until she
left us at Dande. She'd ridden from Fitzroy and looked as if she'd
just commenced her ride. Everything effortless for her.
We thoroughly enjoyed the conversation and the company.
Didn't even get your name, so if you are a reader of this newsgroup
    thanks heaps for joining us.
Yes, we did cop the big downpour and the bit through Doveton was
interesting as we pedalled through water over pedal height for 100
metres at a time. Pleasing to note that NOT ONE MOTORIST DELIBERATELY
    DRENCHED US!!!!!!
    Stewart.
