I just purchased my first hydration pack and I've been tasting an odd plastic taste in the water. I have flushed out the bladder and cleaned it with a Hydra Care cleaning kit but the taste is still there. I purchased a new bladder (Blackburn) and replaced the one that came with my pack. The taste is still there! Anyone have any thoughts as of how to fix this? One thing I did try was instead of using water straight from the tap was to use water from a pitcher with a water filter. The taste is not as bad but still there.

Time and lots of use. the plastic taste is gonna be there for a while until you've used the bladder enough. I've gone though 3 or 4 bladders and each one was the same way, they just need to be "broken in." whatever you do don't try washing it in the dishwasher. This breaks down the plastic and will make the plastic taste even worse for longer.
