Places near Detroit for equipment?

I'm getting started in racing. I was hoping to do a short race before the
end of the season, but that does not appear as though it will happen. But
it does give me the whole winter to train and acquire equipment.

I currently have no bike or swim equipment other than a set of goggles(and
trunks from high school). I've done some research here in Windsor, ON and
there is a little bit but not very much to go on, so I thought I would look
into going across the border to look at equipment, and was wondering if
anyone from around the area would have a few name sof places to check out.

Thank You.

Arguably one of the best around:

Tom REALLY knows his stuff. Especially when it comes to bike fit.

Probably not what you meant by equipment, but...

I think that one of the (very) few Polar Heart Rate Monitor
repair/refurbish sites is in Ann Arbor.
