    What sort of custard is this? A baked custard, boiled custard, custard sauce
    (my hunch), pudding, frozen custard? What flavor is it? In any case, if you
    have a recipe for a plain version, all you'd need to do is add a couple of
    drops of red food coloring.

    Could they have had Junket/rennet pudding also known as Danish Dessert
    or Danish Custard? The one that I see on the grocer's shelf is
    raspberry flavored, if I remember correctly.
