I will be picking up my MTB again this summer. I am planning my holidays in Piemonte and will be situated near Biella, Piemonte, in July. I come there already for several years and I found that the trails for MTB biking are not so interesting, I would like to have a little bit of more challenges and am in search for single track trails in the close-by Alps. Is there anybody who can help me out finding some nice mtb trails in the neighborhood, signed or unsigned? Is there a book with trails that anyone can recommend in the area? Maybe someone knows some nice routes close to Lago Maggiore, that is also on my to-do list in July, some biking ideas in Vale d'Aosta is also highly appreciated. I looked already on the Trento bike pages but it doesn't bring me lot. Then what I find is mostly in Italian and my Italian is somewhat poor. I hope you can give me some ideas and pointers.

South of Trento at Rovereto, N46 heads to that area about 15km southeast. When you get to that area, good maps will show the way. This is not in Piemonte, which is the eastern rim of the Po Valley. Trento is on the Adige River on the main route south of the Brenner Pass from Austria to Verona.
The Dolomites are full of these roads/trails, many made during the first world war.
