How about a recipe for pickled onions. Thanks
Here is a recipe for pickled onions to be served after marinating. They
are good served with bar-b-que.
Terry S. Seguin, Teaxs
Pickled Red Onions
Note: Marinate thinly sliced red onions for a few hours in
the refrigerator. They are nice with grilled meats, on relish dish, in
sandwiches on an antipasto or with broiled fish.
2 large red onions cut into 1/4 to 1/8 inch slices
2 cups white wine vinegar
3 whole all spice berries
Generous pinch of salt
2 bay leaves
3 whole black peppercorns
Generous pinch of sugar
Pile onion rings in a shallow NON Aluminum dish. Pour vinegar over
them and sprinkle spices, salt and sugar. Cover with plastic wrap and
refrigerate for at least 4 hours, turning onions several times till they
are pickled and crisp. Serve in the marinade.
