Loads to get through.TOP STORY: Mr Smooth, or ?The UCI Disciplinary Commission has suspended the ProConti team Androni Giocattoli-Sidermec for the month of August. This is in accordance with article 7.12.1 of the UCI Anti-doping Rules and due to a second anti-doping rule violation within the team in a 12 month period. The two cases are of Fabio Taborre for the blood booster FG-4592 and Davide Appollonio for EPO. Of course the team manager, Gianni Savio, is no stranger to riders with ‘adverse analytical findings’. As well as Taborre and Appollonio, there was the case of Patrick Facchini positive for Tuaminoheptane. Plus Savio is not too choosy about the riders he signs: Emanuele Sella tested positive for CERA and confirmed that he had used EPO. Miguel Ubeto rode for Savio in 2012 and was given a two year ban for GW501516 in 2013. Michele Scarponi rode in 2010, he was suspended for his part in ‘Operacin Puerto’...
