Contador headed off on his own to chase down Aru, his Astana teammate Mikel Landa and LottoNL- Jumbos Steven Kruijswijk. He caught them and attacked, Aru couldn’t follow and from then on lost time. Landa sat on Contador and Kruijswijk and they towed him to the stage win and second overall.Before all that action a break of eleven riders formed after the first climb....
