A full EuroTrash.TOP STORY: When is a 6 not a 6?‘Six Day racing returns to UK’ said the headline in the July 9 edition of Cycling Weekly – and despite the fact that the race starts this Sunday there’s been not one further mention of it in the UK’s premier and oldest cycling publication that we can see.We’d have thought you really need ‘press’ to sell a new ‘Six’? But it’s not a Six, is it?It’s a ‘five plus one’ – whilst there’s no denying the quality of the top end of the field; Iljo Keisse, Kenny De Ketele, Morgan Kneisky, Andreas Muller, David Muntaner, Gijs van Hoecke to name but half a dozen, none of these riders actually participate in the full six days.The reason being that on the Sunday when the London starts they’ll all be occupied at the European Madison Championships in Grenchen, Switzerland.
