Hi. I live in the UK and I am currently working on a project to attach my grass trimmer (Petrol around 25cc) to my bicycle. I was wondering if anyone on here knows what the laws are in the UK roads about this. Also it will be easily detactable and can be cycled without the need for contact from petrol powered engine, so I could just use it off road. I am unsure as to where I should have posted this thread. UK answers only please.

Usually you're free to do whatever w/o the law interfering, as long as the engine is small/weak enough. But I don't think a 25 cc engine will do you much good off-road. It can be a nice assist engine on slack roads, but it hasn't got the torque to perform well off road.

In the US it is different in each state.
In Arkansas if it is less than 49CC you don't need any kind of
papers and you have to be over 12 years old to ride it. You
can not ride it on the trails or side walks.
Over 49CC it is a motorcycle. License and all required. In
Arkansas you have to have a motorcycle endorsement on
your state license.
