I am shortly to visit this area of Wales. I would be
interested to know of any "off road" cycle tracks, if
anybody could help I would be grateful. I paticularly enjoy
riding on tracks built on old railways. JSGJ

the way of rail trails at the moment, but some great off-
road riding to be had. Head for the area around Newport, for
example, go up to Carningli mountain and along the ridge.
The area around Rosebush has some good off-roading, as does
the Gwaun valley. The National Cycle Network route 4 starts
at Fishguard and takes you into some some stunning
countryside with plenty of off-road options. Canaston Woods
near Oakwood country park has some great trails as well.Simon

Watch out for dogs leaping out of farm gates. Worth
buying the local
sustrans map for quiet roads (apart from dogs) Good riding
in the Presli hills (sheep country so dogs under control)Cliff
