The Marloes Peninsula, St Brides Bay offers beautiful walks and some
fine beaches. Two basic farm campsites on the cliff edge and a
reasonable pub not far away in the village.

Thanks John and Paddy. Going to St. David's/St Justinian the first week and
Marloes area the second, have just bought map, guide and AA campsite
listing.

Lots of campsites to choose from, and it should be quiet after the winkies
have gone back to school :-)

Might even post a report and piccies on our return.

Forgot to say, if you are interested in seabirds, there are trips to the
bird sanctuary on Skomer from Martins Haven, at the tip of the
peninsula.
Also I like the tranquility of St Brides, with its small ancient
chapel, set on a tiny inlet looking out across St Brides Bay. The two
campsites are at East Hook Farm and West Hook Farm, East Hook being
nearest Marloes village, while West Hook is nearer Martins Haven. Some
good circular walks including cliff top around the peninsula and cross
country.

Forgot about Marloes, you are right, there are two campsites in the fields
by the path, so you can camp a matter of feet from the path.

we park on the road at the trig point and go either way, nice circular walk.

BTW, Wooltack Point in September may be perfect for seeing the baby seals
hauled up on the rocks. The best are the the two coves east of the white
coastguard hut.
Skomer is a good day out but most of the visitors will have
gone.....birds I mean.

The Lobster Pot in Marloes has gone to pot, had a few beers there after
Skomer in May. Much prefer The Griffin in Dale.

Can't give rec on pubs in St Davids as its always heaving
