I've not ran in Pegs since the 80's....but when I see them in the catalogs...I reflect and wonder
if they're now anything like they used to be,....basically the defacto standard running shoe. There
was a time when Pegs were like the Windows OS or the VW Bug....When people ask for advice on what
shoe to buy...I often want to tell them....oh just got get a pair of Pegs and reference the next
shoe for you from this starting point. Do recent runners know the place of Pegs in running history
and lore? I wonder.
Just bringing up a topic to wear out....East Coast folks know a storms on it's way....theyr'e
talking 12"-16" of snow in NYC...with the W/C it's 6 degrees at noon. You mid-west folks are used to
this. I'm a Californian living in NYC (10 yrs. now)...and this is weather is BS! Anyone with brains
and money lives in San Diego! (Though I'm from the Bay Area).
Andrew....
