I have been riding with shimano's SPD pedals, i think, and their indoor spin class shoes. I got a great deal on the pedals and shoes so i didn't worry too much about whether the shoes were actually meant for riding outside or not and spent the better half of the past 8 months riding a trainer anyway.
when i started riding outside again i began to feel numbness in the toes on my left foot, but hardly ever on the right. When both feet got numb it was usually really cold, so i think that was to blame. But i went out for a ride today and it was very warm out, and after about 45 mins to an hour the toes on my left foot started getting numb.
The possible problems, as far as i can tell are:
-cleat position/alignment
-only ever unclipping the right foot for traffic/stopping
-the shoes themselves
-not keeping my feet parallel to the ground while moving
the shop that set up the pedals and did my fitting too, is a bit far away, so i figured i would ask the experts on the forum first, before making the journey to the shop.
I really appreciate any thoughts/suggestions
