The pedal on my new bike is smaller and feels very promient under my foot. I am confused by what the V shaped metal ridge in the toe box area is all about. Basically it is more difficult to get my foot into it (as it is more tricky to tap the pedal up before inserting the foot) and significantly less comfortable.
My footwear takes the form of various, very cheap, flat soled trainers and this has been fine to date. However, these just don't feel right with these pedals.

Is there any reason why you can't put your old pedals on your new bike?
Not as far as I am aware. The ones that are on there have a longer stem before the thread that goes into the crank, but that could be because they are physically smaller pedals. I'd like to know what sort of shoes are supposed to be worn with these things.
How much do you think they would be worth if I stuck them on ebay?
