  1. I'm working at home with dumbbells and a flat bench. I've heard that doing
pec flies or bench presses on an incline bench works more of the upper chest
muscles, and that doing the same on a decline bench works more of the lower
chest. Can I get the same effect on the flat bench by holding the dumbbells
a bit higher or lower over my chest? Thanks. --Jon

  2. When you want to know about pecs, ask the peckers here.

Now you're asking advice from them on the net too!

Cool. I'm sitting on a weight bench right now. Ah, Gold's ergonomic
    computer gear!

    I've heard that, too.

Yup, I've heard that as well.

Well, you could give that a shot. Seems like it would work the muscles
    from a different angle.

    ....

Or blow your rotator cuff? D'OH!

I'd suggest you simply raise up your bench with some cinder blocks or
2x4s (secure well, of course). One side for inclines, spin on the
bench and do your declines. Otoh, how much could it cost to purchase
an incline bench and a decline bench?

My first weight bench was a picnic bench.

    Improvise.

Best of luck and lifting. ;o)

    No.
