  1. Pear Pecan Pie

    1/4 cup flour 1 tsp. lemon juice
    2/2 tsp. lemon rind
    3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    4/4 tsp. nutmeg 4 pears, unpeeled and sliced
    5/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    6/2 cup chopped pecans
    7/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
    7 (1oz. pkg.) refrigerated pie crusts

    Stir together first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; add pears
    and toss to coat. fit 1 piecrust in a large 9 in. deep dish
    pie plate according to package directions. Arrange coated
    pears in piecrust. Combine sugar, pecans, butter, stirring
    until blended. Spoon mixture over pears. Top with remaining
    piecrusts; fold edges under and crimp. Cut several slits in
    top of pie with a sharp knife. Bake at 325 for 30 minutes.

    note: for those who like to grill: light one side of the
    grill; place pie on the other side on a large piece
    of aluminum foil. Grill, covered with grill lid, over
    medium heat for 1 hour and 15 minutes. serves 8-10
