  1. I am looking to buy a PDA for use during my residency and
would appreciate comments and suggestions for choosing one.

I am considering a PDA-phone like the Treo 600, to avoid
having to carry both a PDA and cell phone. However I noticed
that the on board memory on the Treo is small compared to
others. It also does not have wi-fi and bluetooth. Does
anyone have experience with Treo 600? Does it have enough
capacity to support the commonly used softwares ? Any other
comments/suggestions? Any other model anyone will suggest?

    Thank you Amit

  2. I have a Treo 600 and I'm very happy with it.

In regards to the onboard memory, it has enough onboard
memory for most users. I believe that the onboard memory is
comparable to other PalmOS devices. Remember that PalmOS
programs are generally smaller than the WindowsCE programs.
If the onboard memory is not sufficient
(32.8MB), you can use SD cards to increase the space
available on your Treo 600 for your programs or
    databases.

You are correct that the Treo 600 doesn't have WiFi and
BlueTooth. However anything is possible since the Treo 600
has a SD slot. The only thing is that it needs the drivers
for the various WiFI SD cards or BlueTooth SD cards
    available on the market today.

I'm not sure where you are but in Canada, hospitals
generally don't allow people to use cellphones in the
    premises.
