I wanted to make my own crustless mini "pizzas" by putting a dab of pasta
sauce and mozzerella on pepperoni slices and heating them in the toaster
oven, so I went to the store for pasta sauce. This is the first time I've
looked for pasta sauces since starting low-carb, so this is the first time
I've actually scrutinized labels. It's amazing how different they all are.
Ranging from 5g carbs per serving to over 20g! Some with all natural
ingredients, some with high fructose corn syrup, some with half the RDA of
sodium, etc. I found a pretty good compromise between price and
ingredients, (I hope) with Bellino Spaghetti Sauce. Total Carbs, 8g, Fiber
2g. Calories, 60. The ingredients include soybean oil, but it does not
say "partially hydrogenated" it just says "soybean oil." I hope it's ok.
It tasted pretty good, I used probably about two tablespoons total for my
mini "pizzas."
