I have a red swelling at the side of my big toe it is very very painful, having surfed the web and hopefully ruling out gout I have decided this is what Ive got.
Has anyone else had a similiar problem ?
I went to see doc today and he said its an ingrowing to nail and put me on flucloxacillan 50 mg 4x per day

on the meds side has anyone tried Acarbose I am thinking of asking doc if I can lower the Metformin and try these along side ???? the main side affects are wind but can it get any worse
This is not a beast thing. It can happen to anyone who isn't aware of how to cut toenails or wears shoes that pinch the toes. A podiatrist would go a long way in showing you correct techniques and checking for other foot problems.
