how would i go about painting my hub? should i powder coat it? is there a way to remove bearings? should i remove bearings before painting it? please reply.
to do a half decent job you'll have to strip your wheel, and rebuild it after. This is quit a skill, a good thing to learn but may take many hours to get right. If you want to PC you will need to pull the bearings off using as bearing puller, UDC carries them but any automotive shop should sell something similar. If you're just going to spray paint it I would leave the bearings on and mask them with a load of masking tape, any paint you get on the axle would just get scrapped off when you put the bearings back on anyway. Either way, it's gong to take quite a lot of work to get a good job done.

Well, I hated my *blue* KH MUni hub, cuz it was clashing with the different colors I had painted my frame, so I painted it black and it came out great!
Since my spokes are already black, I wasn't worried about a little overspray. I masked everything off best I could, and used semi-gloss black and just sprayed it evenly as possible thru the spokes and it came out very good. Hasn't worn of or chipped or anything it's fine.
