  1. i have recently started road cycling but have a pain in my back between the shouler blades after riding my racer, what is the cause of this and how do i cure it

  2. When I get pains in my upper back I am ussually high in pottasium so I skip lunch and drink water to balance out or just cut down on bannanas and potato chips. I don't know if that is the case with you or not but I thought I'd mention it.

Could be bike fit, lack of conditioning, or both. If you went from an upright bike to one with 2 or more inches of drop from saddle to bars, that's going to put weight on your back and shoulders that you're not used to.

Quickest cure is usually to move your stem up and/or back to take the weight off your hands. Then gradually lower the stem it as you get used to the new position. Pushups or weights may help as well.

Will take some time to get comfortable in the road position. Meanwhile, keep your hands on the brake hoods or bar tops of course, stay off the drops.
