that happened to me recently - with a pack thats well over 20yrs old.
managed to improvise a repair with a coke bottle top that i carved into a
washer with a small knife 🙂

Lowe have always struck me as good in this respect, and one reason why
I'm happy to use their kit. My Kangtega (a forerunner of the Alpamayo)
was bought in 1988 and is still going strong.
