Now that I got the Boston qualifier out of the way this past Sunday, I'm ready for my "fun run" in NYC.
My goals are to enjoy myself, see the sights and be as ready as possible for a 15k on November 14th. I don't want to push myself but am wondering if going too slow and being out there too long will be worst than running a faster pace? Moderation in all things?
For those running, I'll be in my gold team jersey, my race number is 4104.

Unless you're very used to training at ultra distances, you're probably not going to be completely healed from your BQ effort by Nov 7th. But, if you're going to do it and be "as ready as possible" a week later, I personally would go very slow, even if it means being out there an hour or more longer. I would also and eat and drink as much as possible to make sure of having abundant energy and to begin recovery ASAP. I would walk while eating and drinking, and maybe even do other walk breaks. Really it all depends on how ready you want to be for the 15k IMO.
