  1. For some reason known only to its editor, "Which" did an article this month
on Speed cameras (Are yellow ones a better buy than grey ones?). They
referred to "the Association of British Drivers (ABD),with 3,000 members,
and its smaller ally, Safe Speed", quoting them in several places in the
    article.

The overall tenor of the article was that Speed cameras do what they're
supposed to, but I was disappointed that by even referring to SS they give
it the cloak of credibility to someone who only skims the article.

I've written to Which to suggest that they don't quote pseudo statistics in
a serious article. If anyone wants to do the same, their email address is
on their website. Fortunately you have to subscribe to read the article.

    Peter.

This would be opposed to the pseudo stats that seem to get rolled out by the
other side on occasion would they?

Last time I spoke to the author his view was this: there is no
"debate" on speed camera effectiveness, there is a consensus, with one
or two libertarian organisations standing on the outside. Obviously
the final product has been seriously toned down.
