I followed up on a URL that someone listed in another thread a few days ago, and with all the talk about travelling LONG distances by bike, this is a fantastic site www.ozbybike.com .
This guy is riding from Tassie all the way around Australia, with his faithful garden gnome. His goal is to ride to the most Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western and Central parts of this big flat brown land, and also the highest (altitude, not Byron Bay) and lowest points.
