This is for a single batch, adjust accordinly for larger roaster. We
usually double everything. Except the tapioca

2 pounds stewing beef, or whatever you wish to use
    5 carrots
    4 large potatoes
    1/2 cup celery
    1/2 green pepper
    1 medium onion
any veggie that will take roasting etc.

We fill a large roasting pan for a family of 5, with 3 large eaters.
Mix together in a small bowl the following, 1 can beef broth, salt,
pepper, 8 oz tomato sauce. 3 tablespoons tapioca. Pour meat and
    vegetables in
roaster. Mix well. Cover and bake in 350 degree over for 5 hours. Do
    not peek or stir.
Double recipe except for carrots for large families.
