Oh, well, 'spose I'd better own up, I have absolutely no experience of
this stove (so my opinion aired above is a ruse ;-). It reminds me of
one of the more well-known makers stoves (but I can't remember with
one) and looks fairly spiffing, I'd certainly be interested in it.

I've got one. My stream of consciousness ramblings won me one on the
outdoors magic website. It turned up too, eventually.

I haven't used it yet but in the flesh it's small and light, but the pan
supports, which fold out, are not large and the way that they fold doesn't
inspire confidence that they'll be robust. The handle works but doesn't
appear to be something destined for a long life either. There is no wind
shielding and so you'd have to use it in a sheltered spot or in the tent.
I'd probably take it as a 'just in case' item but I'd be reluctant to rely
on it as a sole stove when I was a long way from base because it doesn't
give me confidence that it wouldn't break at the moment of maximum
inconvenience.

But hey, I'm probably out of touch with lightweight gear these days. It
might be par for the course to use tents made from tissue paper, stoves that
weigh little and can be thrown away after a few uses and sleeping bags with
the comfort and resilience of bubble wrap. I've just got soft in my old age
and prefer to have confidence in my gear. It takes all the fun and
adventure away, I know, and adds to the weight, but I think that's a price
worth paying...
